Randy Hogarth of Burke United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was at the Herrick Cemetery with Clausen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Dak. and died June 12, 1983, at Burke Community Memorial Hospital at the age of 67 years and 15 days. She was the daughter of Ella Doering Smith and Charles Smith. Goldie grew up in the Lucas community and on Nov. 23, 1934 was united in marriage to William Sangster at Winner, S. Dak. To this union, three daughters were born, Virginia and Barbara of Bonesteel and Dorthea who died in infancy. They made their home on a farm in Gregory County until retiring in Herrick in 1974. Goldie is survivied by her two daughters; three brothers, Carl of Tillamook, Ore., Harold of Denver, Colo. and Ralph of Vinton, Ia.; and one sister, Rose Blunt of Mitchell, Nebr. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; a daughter, Dorthea; two brothers, William and Ben and two sisters, Anna and Georgia.
