Description	:	Obituary from "Ottumwa Courier," August 5, 1953: Mrs. Bert Dimmitt, 58, died at her home in Highland Township near Dahlonega at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday. She had been ill 11 months. The former Goldie Mae South, she was born in Monroe County, December 3, 1894, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel South. She married Bert Dimmitt October 3, 1930. He survives. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Florence Osborn, Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Mary Davis of Albia, a half-sister Mrs. Gertrude Cox of Albia, and a brother, Harrison South of Centerville. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Kenneth Ross, pastor of the Open Bible Church of Batavia, will be in charge. Burial will be in the Ottumwa Cemetery.
