Goldie was born on Sunday, May 11, 1924. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold F Clark Sr. in 1988; three sisters, Ruby Virginia Wakefield, Hazel Nugent and Dorothy Coddington; one brother, Carl Wakefield; two half brothers, Darius Wakefield and Harvey Wakefield; four sisters-in-law, Georgene Wakefield, Carol Wakefield, Garnet Wooden and Delores McCormick; and one brother-in-law, Harry Childs. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold F Clark Sr. in 1988; three sisters, Ruby Virginia Wakefield, Hazel Nugent and Dorothy Coddington; one brother, Carl Wakefield; two half brothers, Darius Wakefield and Harvey Wakefield; four sisters-in-law, Georgene Wakefield, Carol Wakefield, Garnet Wooden and Delores McCormick; and one brother-in-law, Harry Childs. She is survived by her son, Harold F. Clark Jr. (Ann) of Rices Landing, Pa.; five daughters: Delores J. Clark, Uniontown, Pa., Carolyn J. Kay (David), Washington, Pa., Diane J. Johnson, Pittsburgh, Pa., Sharon J. Kay (Francis) Confluence, Pa., and Kimberly J. Thomas (Randy), Uniontown, Pa. She is also survived by a sister, Helen Benson (Dale), Bruceton Mills, West Virginia; brothers: Floyd Wakefield (Margie), Dewey Wakefield, Troy Wakefield, Samuel Wakefield (Nancy) all of Friendsville, Maryland; and sisters-in-law: Wilma Wakefield, Kingwood, West Virginia and Margaret Childs, Uniontown, Pa. She has thirteen grandchildren and seven great grand children and five great great grandchildren. She was a graduate of Friendsville High School, class of 1941. She attended Zarephath Bible Seminary College in Zarephath, New Jersey. Goldie was a member of Uniontown Free Methodist Church and had over 30 years of perfect Sunday School attendance. She was a Sunday School teacher (Class 10) for 25 years. She volunteered for the Cancer fund for ten years in her neighborhood. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and cooking. She was known as the "cookie lady" spreading joy among friends with her fresh baked cookies. Another passion of Goldie's was to send greeting cards to friends and anyone that needed a spiritual uplift with her words of kindness. She loved to make people happy and never hated anyone. Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown Pa., on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friends and family are invited to Funeral Services at UNIONTOWN FREE METHODIST CHURCH, 300 Evans Street, Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Blooming Rose Cemetery, 3559 Blooming Rose Road, Friendsville, Maryland.
