The services will be held in St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church, and burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery. Eastman was born on Dec. 12, 1926, at Sioux Falls to Florence and Erving Eastman. The services will be held in St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church, and burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery. Eastman was born on Dec. 12, 1926, at Sioux Falls to Florence and Erving Eastman. He attended Cathedral School and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1944. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from July 1944 through June 1946. He was stationed on the USS Hanna in the South Pacific. Upon his return from the Navy, he attended Sioux Falls College. He married Inez Hodne on Aug. 9, 1948. He owned Lee and Gordy's Service Station at 6th & Phillips and King Koin Laundromat. He also worked at Ted Tufty Motors as a service manager. After his retirement, he worked for the Sioux Falls Parks Department. He was a member of Cathedral Parish, Knights of Columbus and VFW. Survivors include his wife, Inez of Sioux Falls; six sons, Mark, David (Maggie) and Dan (Doraina), all of Sioux Falls, Bruce of St. Louis, Mo., Bob (Karen) of Madison, and Paul (Marilyn) of Dakota Dunes; four daughters, Nancy (Doug) Hauck of Littleton, Colo., Joanne (Delbert) Bohms and Jane (Mike) Torrenti, both of Sioux Falls and Julie (Bob) Viereck of Jefferson; 23 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Eastman and Marilyn Granum, both of Sioux Falls; and a brother, Ron of Coalinga, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; a sister; a son, Stephen; two grandsons; and one great-grandson. Memorials may be directed to the Sioux Falls Catholic Schools.
