Description	:	Gordon Osten, 70, of Gilbert, Arizona, (formerly of Columbus) died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 30, 2:00 P.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 14 miles North, with Rev. Brad Birtell officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Thursday from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 1:45 P.M. Gordon was born March 23, 1945, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Harold and Viola (Janssen) Osten. He attended school at St. John’s and graduated from Columbus High School in 1963. On April 26, 1969, Gordon was united in marriage to Linda Wendt in Columbus. They farmed north of Columbus for 15 years before moving to Arizona where they have resided for the past 30 years, always returning in the summer back to their home in Columbus. Gordon enjoyed family and friends, and liked being outdoors and going boating.
