Survivors are wife; sons, Gordon P. (Janet) Tillirson, Jr. of Cumming, GA and Dr. Michael L. (Joy) Tillirson of Williamston; daughter, Sandra Jean (Jim) Gaskins of Greenville, Ind.; brothers, Joseph Tillirson of Jonesboro, GA and Harold Tillirson of Atlanta, GA; 7 grandchildren, Vince, Melissa, Michelle, Alanna, Jeff, Todd and Kelly; 7 great grandchildren, Laura, Christopher, Drew, Sarah, Dean, Emma and Cameron; 2 step daughters, Phyllis LeClair of Port St. Lucie, FL and Sally (Robert)Ackerson of Melbourne, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife, Sarah Ellen Gilstrap Tillirson; brother, Garland George Tillirson; sister Ida Estelle Morton. Funeral services Friday at the Liberty Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Ray Collins and Rev. Ray Longnecker. Burial at Liberty Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Rice's Creek Baptist Church. Published in The Greenville News 5-10-2001.
