Deceased was a son of Jacob Bamesberger, who was thus suddenly called in the morning of his life to try the realities of eternity. He was a dutiful son, sober, industrious; for whom his family and friends expected a long life of usefulness and honor, but God has called him to that better land where sickness and disappointment cannot enter, and all must bow submissive... Deceased was a son of Jacob Bamesberger, who was thus suddenly called in the morning of his life to try the realities of eternity. He was a dutiful son, sober, industrious; for whom his family and friends expected a long life of usefulness and honor, but God has called him to that better land where sickness and disappointment cannot enter, and all must bow submissive to the Divine will. The parents, brothers and sisters have the sympathy of friends and neighbors in their bereavement, as was attested by the large number of sympathizing friends who attended the funeral services at the M.E. church on Tuesday afternoon. -Americus Ledger, Friday, 17 July 1885; p. 1, c. 3 ***** AMERICUS NEWS Monday, July 13. It becomes our sad duty this morning to chronicle the sad death of Gottleib Bamesberger. Mr. Bamesberger had been complaining only since last Wednesday morning. He was 19 years old - just starting out in manhood, when he fell a sudden victim to inflamation (sic) of the bowels. Sudden and swift the warning came and at 11:25 Sunday evening he answered to the call of the death angle (sic) and passed to the better climes beyond. He was well respected, straightforward in his dealings, upright in his actions, and held a warm place in the hearts of his many friends.
