Description	:	Gottlieb Meidinger, pioneer farmer of the Fallon Flat community, passed away last Wednesday afternoon after an illness of two years. Mr Meidinger was eighty-one years of age and had lived on Fallon Flat since 1910. Mr Meidinger was born in 1854 at Castle, Russia, the son of Adam and Katherine Meidinger. Read More	Gottlieb Meidinger, pioneer farmer of the Fallon Flat community, passed away last Wednesday afternoon after an illness of two years. Mr Meidinger was eighty-one years of age and had lived on Fallon Flat since 1910. Mr Meidinger was born in 1854 at Castle, Russia, the son of Adam and Katherine Meidinger. At the age of twenty, he emigrated to America and first settled near Yankton SD, where he lived a year before moving to Mitchell SD. Later he moved to Ashley SD, and in 1910 moved to the Fallon Flat community where he has since made his home, with the exception of a short time spent in Fallon. He received his early schooling in Russia. On January 2, 1878, he was married to Miss Barbara Meyer at Mitchell SD, and to this union fifteen children were born, ten of whom are now living. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Barbara Meidinger, six sons, Gottlieb, John, August, Henry, Emanuel, and Fred, all of the Fallon community, and four daughters, Mrs Ricka Hellwig of Lodi CA, Mrs Rose Johnson of Fallon Flat, Mrs Mary Nagel of Lehr ND, and Mrs Barbara Ehman of Fallon. One daughter, Mrs Katherine Rott, passed away in 1934. Funeral services were held at the Evangelical church on Fallon Flat at two o'clock on Saturday, with the Rev W C Menges of Fallon in charge of the services.
