Description	:	Beasom Rites Here Thursday Funeral services were held this, Thursday forenoon, for Mrs. Grace B. Beasom, 84. Mrs. Beasom died at Memorial Hospital Monday afternoon, December 3, following a brief illness. She had been admitted to the hospital the day before. The services were held at the Reck Funeral Home, which had charge of the arrangements. The Rev. David Belzer, pastor of the Miller church of the Nazarene, officiated at the service, and interment was made in the GAR Cemetery. David Belzer, pastor of the Miller church of the Nazarene, officiated at the service, and interment was made in the GAR Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gene Benning, Donald Holly, Harold Osborn, Harlan Bushfield, J. B. Heilman and Jack Jones. The last surviving member of a family of four, Mrs. Beasom was a life-time resident of Miller. She was born in Ohio township August 10, 1889, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Butler. The family moved to Miller when she was a small child, and with the exception of winter months which she spent in Phoenix, this continued to be her home. She attended and graduated from high school in Miller, and took a secretarial course in business college in Mankato. She served as deputy Register of Deeds, and for several years was employed as secretary at the First National Bank. Later she became manager of the ready-to-wear department of the J.W. Johnson Department Store, with which she was associated for 25 years, retiring in 1956. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a fifty year member of Crescent Chapter Eastern Star, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
