Description	:	Grace Darling Aldrich Felt was born February 20, 1894 near Waukee, and died April 29, 1939 in Des Moines at the age of 45 years, 2 months and 9 days. She was united in marriage on February 2,1816 to Ray L. Felt. To this union were born four children: Leland A., of Waukee; Kingsley Ray, Marcia Lou and Donna Lee, all of whom reside at the present home in Des Moines. Read More	Grace Darling Aldrich Felt was born February 20, 1894 near Waukee, and died April 29, 1939 in Des Moines at the age of 45 years, 2 months and 9 days. She was united in marriage on February 2,1816 to Ray L. Felt. To this union were born four children: Leland A., of Waukee; Kingsley Ray, Marcia Lou and Donna Lee, all of whom reside at the present home in Des Moines. She spent her girlhood with her parents on the home farm near Waukee. After marriage she resided with her husband on a farm southwest of Waukee until September 3, 1937, at which time the family moved to Des Moines. She identified herself with the Christian church of Waukee in the summer of 1916. She retained active membership in that church until moving to Des Moines, at which time her membership was transferred to the College Avenue Church of Christ of that city. At the time of her death she was an officer of the Cleaner's class of the College Avenue church and was also a member of the Board of Deaconesses and served in that capacity. This indicates the high regard and esteem that the church had for her was in itself a tribute to her loyalty and devotion. She was also an active member of the Polk County Farm Bureau Ladies' Chorus and sang with this organization before many prominent groups in Des Moines and Polk county. Besides her husband and children she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Aldrich of Waukee; one sister , Mrs. M. F. Elson, Waukee and three brothers, Roy of Paton; Floyd of Waukee and George, of Keosauqua. Also a grandson, Duane Ray and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Leland Felt of Waukee, along with a host of friends and neighbors remain to mourn her departure.
