On Feb. 15, 1941, she married Richard W. Barrett, who died Oct. 9, 1987. Mrs. Barrett was a homemaker and had been a secretary at Alger High School and a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Richard Barrett Electric. She was a member of Cable Road Alliance Church. She was an avid reader and loved her family very much. Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl A. (Bud) Ash, of Xenia, and Kathy (Terry) Grapner, of Elida; a granddaughter, Denise Jones; two sisters, Camille (Richard) Vermillion and Evelyn Funni, both of Lima; and five great-grandchildren, Mandy Jones, Jeremy Grapner, Heidi Grimm, Ethan Grimm and Chandler Ash. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Krouskop; two sisters, Roberta Allen and Carolyn Williamson; and a grandson, Brad Ash. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Ron Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
