Description	:	Grace E. Stewart was the daughter of James Alexander Stewart and Rachel Albina Hanon. She married Thomas J. Kerens (1901-unknown), son of Thomas Kerens and Mary Elizabeth McCloskey, on September 3, 1920, in Jackson County, Missouri; the marriage ended no later than 1932. The couple had five children, three sons and two daughters. Hahn, 84, 329 6th Ave. S., died Sunday in Mercy Hospital. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. George Hoenig officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday in Clinton Memorial Funeral Home with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dan Kerens, Rick Nicola, Mike, Gregg, Pete and Bill Petersen. Mrs. Hahn was born April 23, 1904, in Scott County, to James and Rachel Hannon [sic-Hanon] Stewart. She married Adolph Hahn, Oct. 18, 1934, in Rock Island, Ill. He preceded her in death in January of 1972. Grace was educated in the DeWitt school system. She lived in the Clinton County area all her life. She was employed as a cook at the Alverno Health Care Center and was last employed as a cook at S.S. Krege, retiring in 1969. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Women of the Moose. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Evelyn) Petersen of DeWitt, Mrs. Warren (Loretta) Detra of Clinton; two sons, Thomas Kerens of Camanche and James Kerens of Tampa, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, two sisters and six [sic-five] brothers." The son who predeceased Grace was Robert Joseph Kerens, who was born January 2, 1930, in Illinois, and died November 30, 1884, in Clinton, Clinton County, Iowa.
