Lockwood, 94, will he held at 2 p.m. at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home. Mrs. Lockwood died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton. She had been in failing health the past four years. Visitation hours at the funeral home will be for one hour prior to Sunday's service. Lockwood, 94, will he held at 2 p.m. at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home. Mrs. Lockwood died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton. Mrs. Lockwood often was referred to as the Noodle Lady for her fondness in the preparation of homemade noodles. She was a graduate of Petroleum High School and was employed nine years as a nurses aide at Caylor-Nickel Hospital. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Petroleum, the Order of Eastern Star and the Nottingham Home Demonstration Club. She was born in Jay County, Aug. 22, 1908, a daughter of Frank and Emma Rodemeister Higgins. Her marriage at Portland on Dec. 18, 1924 was to Ralph Lockwood, who died Feb. 4, 1986. Surviving are six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was proceded in death by three sons, Gene D., Richard A. and Joe Neil, and one sister, Alice Weaver. Rev. Robert Heimach will officiate at services and burial will be in Stahl Cemetery in Wells County. Memorials to the Petroleum United Methodist Church.
