Feb 27, 1945 - Carroll Times - Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Tregloan, who succumbed to a six-month illness at her home on North Court street yesterday morning, are to be at 2:30 Thursday afternoon at the Huffman Funeral home. The Rev. H.H. Proett, minister of the Glidden Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Carroll cemetery. The body is resting at the funeral home until the time of the services and may be viewed there by friends. Mrs. Tregloan was born Grace Emma Baskerville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Baskerville, Jan. 13, 1867 at Clearwater, Minn. When a small child, she moved with her parents to Wilmington, Illinois. After attending school in Mt. Carroll and Bloomington, Illinois, she taught rural and town schools in that state for 20 years. One of her teaching positions was at Sterling, IL. In 1902, when her parents moved to a farm near Fonda, Iowa, she accompanied them there. In 1904 the family came to Carroll county to reside on a farm adjoining the D.G. Martin homestead west of Carroll. From this farm they moved into their home on North Court street, where Mrs. Tregloan was living at the time of her mariage. She married William G. Tregloan Oct. 19, 1907, in Carroll, and has resided here since then, having lived in her present home for 30 years. Mrs. Tregloan leaves two sisters: Mrs. Anna Martin, Marshalltown, and Mrs. W.W. Tregloan, Carroll, and one brother, O.A. Baskerville, Des Moines. She is also survived by four stepsons and two stepdaughters: L.L. Tregloan, Parker Wash.; W.W. Tregloan, Carroll; N.C. Tregloan and J.P. Tregloan, Wrentham, Alberta, Canada; Mrs. R.O. Rogers (Maude), Rouleau, Sask., Canada, who is now visiting in the W.W. Tregloan and B.J. Rogers homes, and Mrs. F.V. Watts (Sara) of Roundup, Mont. Her husband preceded her in death. The following sisters and brothers have also passed away: Mrs. C.H. Relf of Grand Forks, Minn.; Mrs. W.S. Standley of Stirum. N.D.; Mrs. L.L. Tregloan of Sheldon, N.D.; George W. Baakerville and W.R. Baskerville, both of Fonda. Mrs. Tregloan waa a member of the Methodist church.
