Description	:	HADSELL, GRACE—Mrs. Hugh B. Hadsell of Geneva passed away at her home Monday morning, September 28, 1959. Although she had been in ill health the past years, her death was unexpected. She was aged 70 years, 3 months and 15 days. Born in Shickley, Neb., Grace Huston Hadsell has been a resident of Nebraska for 63 of her 70 years. She was a graduate of Shickley high school. She was aged 70 years, 3 months and 15 days. Born in Shickley, Neb., Grace Huston Hadsell has been a resident of Nebraska for 63 of her 70 years. She was a graduate of Shickley high school. After the death of her father, Frank B. Huston, the family moved to Geneva, where Grace continued in the higher grades of high school, graduating in 1909. June 1, 1914, she was united in marriage to Hugh B. Hadsell. To this union were born two children, Neal of Lincoln and Richard of Kimball. She also is survived by three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ferne Blair of Long Beach, Cal., and Mrs. M. T. (Zella) Sommer of Los Angeles, Cal., and one brother, Earl Huston of Los Angeles. A lifelong member of the Methodist church, she devoted much of her time to the work of the church. She was active in the woman’s Society of Christian Service both as a member and officer; she served as a district officer, while a member of Chicago Temple church in Chicago, Ill. She also worked many years as organist and pianist in several churches where the family resided, including Strang, Geneva, Guide Rock, Wymore and Pawnee city, where Mr. Hadsell was stationed with the Burlington railroad. She was an active member of P. E. O. for nearly 50 years. She also was a charter member of O. K. Kensington of Geneva. Her three great essentials for happiness were: Something to do, something to love and something to hope for. Mr. and Mrs. Hadsell moved back to Geneva in January, 1958, Mr. Hadsell becoming agent here where he started his railroad work as a youth. Funeral services were held at thirst Methodist church in Geneva at 2 p. m. Thursday, October 1. Rev. Alden B. Sears officiated. Mrs. H. A. Rosenau sang “Beyond the Sunset”, accompanied by Miss Harriett Scott, who furnished the organ music. Pallbearers were Fred Fox, Ben Fussell, Melvin Ralston, Francis Nunns, Dr. H. A. Rosenau and Tyler Edgecombe. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal 8th October, 1959 page 9.
