Description	:	The many friends of Miss Grace Beveridge, who for sixteen long weeks had made such a valiant fight with the grim reaper, was at last conquered by death and laid down her useful young life at her home in the Fifth ward, at 9:00 o'clock Wednesday evening, December 20th. Read More	The many friends of Miss Grace Beveridge, who for sixteen long weeks had made such a valiant fight with the grim reaper, was at last conquered by death and laid down her useful young life at her home in the Fifth ward, at 9:00 o'clock Wednesday evening, December 20th. She was taken ill four months ago with pneumonia and since that time her life has wavered in the balance. Her malady finally developed into quick consumption, which resulted in her death. During all that time the loving family have watched and attended her tenderly and the waiting friends have longed unceasingly for news of her recovery, but to no avail. Grace was born in Boone November 21st, 1885, and has lived here all her life. She graduated from the public schools and after leaving the High school entered the employ of the Douglass Dry Goods Company where she was working when the fatal illness overtook her. She was a member of the Baptist church and a devoted worker in the Sunday school a member of Prospect Rebekah lodge and of Gem Temple, Rathbone Sisters, of a bright and pleasant disposition, beloved by all who knew her, and her untimely death is a sad blow to her family and friends. She leaves to mourn her death her parents, three sisters, Mrs. J.H. Rogers, of Tulsa, Indian Territory, Mrs. J.C. Parker, of Rockwell City, and Elizabeth at home; three brothers, William, of Illinois, and George and John at home. The funeral services were held from the Baptist church at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C.E. Tingley, burial in Linwood cemetery. Boone County Democrat December 29, 1905
