Observers said that Stotts, apparently the only occupant of the vehicle, had failed to make a turn on the highway and crashed into a telegraph pole. Born at Cash OK July 22, 1911, Stotts was married to Madge Floyd of Humboldt in 1937 at Caney, KS. The couple had lived in this vicinity for several years. For a short time they lived on a farm south of Chanute, but recently moved near Humboldt. Stotts body was taken to the Johnson funeral home here, and the funeral will be held at the mortuary Monday at 2 PM. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Chanute. Survivors include Mrs. Stotts, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stotts of Marlow, OK and a sister in Texas.
