Mr. Taylor was born Feb. 28, 1912, in Jefferson County, the son of Patrick Henry and Nora Ellen Albright Taylor. He married Anna Lucille Stutzman April 1, 1939, at the Open Bible parsonage in Mount Pleasant. He attended Eldon Assembly of God Church, served as a mechanic in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a self-employed mechanic and farmer, and was a member of John Hyson Reneker Post 494 Amercian Legion in Douds. Mr. Taylor and his wife lived all their married life in Van Buren County, mostly in the Douds community. Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Laughlin of Fairfield, Joy Yoho of Birmingham and Marjorie Beggs of Cantril; one son, Marvin Taylor of Eldon; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Florence Mae Selix of Kennewick, Wash., and Elizabeth Bradley of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mabel Thompson and Alvira Taylor; and five brothers, Floyd, Earl, Ernest, Harry and Purl Taylor.
