Description	:	Mr. Granville Forrest Wiseman, age 97, a resident of Custer Street in Belington, departed this life late Wednesday evening October 19, 2016 in the Talbott Personal Care home in Belington, he had been declining in health but death was unexpected. He was born November 30, 1918 at Barbour County, a son of the late Granville “Miff” and Lula Annie Sandridge Wiseman although he was raised by his Aunt and Uncle Gene and Nellie Zirkle, who also preceded him in death. He was born November 30, 1918 at Barbour County, a son of the late Granville “Miff” and Lula Annie Sandridge Wiseman although he was raised by his Aunt and Uncle Gene and Nellie Zirkle, who also preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters; Carol Woods, June Carpenter and husband Arnold all of Belington, three grandchildren; Arnold Lee Carpenter Jr. and wife Melissa, Steven Carpenter and wife Michelle all of Belington, and Jeff Woods of Akron, OH, seven great-grandchildren; Steven Carpenter Jr., Brody Carpenter, Angela Phillips and husband Shawn, Arnold Lee Carpenter III, Jeff Woods II, Justin Woods, and Bobbie Jo Woods, seven great-great grandchildren; Kevin Grady Woods, Hunter Nelson Woods, Hartlie May Woods, Lacie Lynn Woods, Kimber Jo Woods, and McKenzie and Riley Phillips. In addition to his parents, aunt and uncle who raised him, and his three former wives, he was preceded in death by one sister; Norma Phillips, one half-brother; Loren Wiseman, one grandchild; Kathy June Carpenter, and one infant daughter; Linda Lou Wiseman. Forrest was previously employed at the Norton mines, and was owner of a shoe shop in Belington where he sold and repaired shoes, he was also a carpenter and was mostly known for his ability to work with sheet metal and owned Wiseman Sheet Metal Shop in Belington. He belonged to the Belington Church of Christ and loved his family very much. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington Interment to follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington.
