Willard St., died at 5:40 a.m. Nov. 27, 1989, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center, 1001 E. Pennsylvania. He was born Feb. 1, 1898, in Davis County to O.K. “Bob” and Mary Ellen Albright. He married Loree Hammil in 1936 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He had served on the first City Council under the city manager plan in Ottumwa. He served in World War II in the Army and was owner/operator of Refrigeration Service on Church Street. He was a former member of South Ottumwa Savings Bank board and a member of American Legion, South Ottumwa Boosters, Ottumwa Masonic Lodge 16, Davenport Consistory, and York Right Bodies in Ottumwa. He is survived by his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Merle; an infant sister, Dorothy; and a sister, Bertha Tucker. The service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Wilbert Trusheim of Willard Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. The casket will be closed as the service begins. Visitation will begin at noon today. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Pallbearers will be Paul George, Robert Boyd, James Stookesberry, Arthur M. Johnson, Robert Workman and George Lang.
