Description	:	Lorree married Guy Day on October 25, 1936, in Nashua, Iowa. Her name on the marriage record is R. Lorree Hammil, and her name in the early census records is Ruby. On February 4, 2017, I received an edit notice from findagrave member William Thorowgood, asking that I change Lorree's name on her memorial to Ruby Lorree. Day, 94, 233 S. Willard died at 7:56 p.m. Sept. 29, 1994, at her home. She was born Dec. 1, 1899, in Decatur County to Mr. and Mrs. John Hammil. She married Guy Day in 1936, in Nashua. He died Nov. 27, 1989. She was a member of Willard Street United Methodist Church and lived most of her life in Ottumwa. She was a nurse at Ottumwa Hospital and a visiting nurse at surrounding hospitals. She retired when she was 75. She was a member of Social Order of Beauceant, Wapello White Shrine 4 and Margaret Bottome Circle of Kings Daughters. She is survived by a sister, Margaret Coontz of Bremerton, Wash. She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Walter, Max and Glen [sic]; a sister, Elinor [sic] Ivins. The service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral chapel, the Rev. Don Callen of Willard Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. The visitation will begin after noon Sunday. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
