Description	:	Gwen O'Conner, a 96 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 05, 2013 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home. The body will be cremated following services. Mrs. O'Conner was born on October 30, 1916 in Laurens, IA the daughter of Austin and Clara (Smith) Morgan. She graduated from Grimes, IA High School. She was married to Robert O'Conner on January 5, 1958 in Des Moines, IA; he preceded her in death on June 19, 1971. She worked as a waitress in the Des Moines area until moving to Leisure Lake in 1971. From 1973 to 1982 she was the head cook at Sunnyview Nursing Home. She was a member of the Edinburg Baptist Church. Mrs. O'Conner is survived by a daughter, Karen Hunt of Des Moines, IA; a son, DeWayne Snyder of Des Moines, IA; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 27 great great grandchildren; also surviving is a biological daughter, Margaret Spalding of Des Moines, IA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dwight Thomas Snyder; a brother, Eldridge J. Morgan; and a grandson, Michael Hunt.
