Description	:	Gwendolyn "Maxine" Wisdom, 85, of Fleming, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010, in Haxtun. Visitation will be until 7 p.m. today, July 16, 2010, at Gerk Funeral Home in Haxtun. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at the Fleming Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Fleming Cemetery. Mrs. Wisdom was born to William and Elva (Ellis) Cheramy, Jan. 2, 1925 in rural Haxtun, one of 11 children. She grew up in the Haxtun area and graduated from Haxtun High School. Interment will follow in the Fleming Cemetery. Mrs. Wisdom was born to William and Elva (Ellis) Cheramy, Jan. 2, 1925 in rural Haxtun, one of 11 children. She grew up in the Haxtun area and graduated from Haxtun High School. On March 7, 1944, she married Donald L Wisdom and they were blessed with four children: Barb, Terry, Amy and Gary. Through the years, she was self-employed, opening and running numerous restaurants in the Sterling, Fleming and Haxtun area. Mrs. Wisdom was a mem ber of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loved spoiling her grandchildren, doings crafts, and crocheting, reading, camping, and card games of all kinds. Trips to Blackhawk were special, as was her dog "Ollie." She is survived by her hus band, Don of Fleming; daughter, Barb Miles of Evans; son, Terry Wisdom and wife Gaila of Llewellyn, Neb.; daughter, Amy and Rod Dvorak of Laramie, Wyo.; and son, Gary and wife Lori of Fleming. She was preceded in death by her parents; all of her siblings; her son-in-law, Dean Miles of Sterling, and great granddaughter, Parker Rose Dvorak of Laramie, Wyo. Memorial contributions may be given to the Maxine Wisdom Memorial Fund.
