Description	:	Final rites were conducted at he First Christian Reformed church here at 1 p.m. Saturday for Gysbert De Goei, 84, retired farmer and truck gardener and a resident of Sioux Center area for approximately 57 years, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Peter Ravenstein, in Orange City July 16. He had been ill for several weeks. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. B. J. Haan and burial was made in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery. Mr. De Goei was born November 30, 1873 [1974 per gravestone], in The Netherlands. He married Katherine Van Beck in The Netherlands August 10, 1901, and the couple moved to the United States and Sioux Center shortly thereafter. Mrs. De Goei passed away here March 29, 1955. Survivors include the daughter; two sons, Art of Orange City and Joe, manager of Joe’s Lunch of Sioux Center; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
