| Description | : | Hamilton was the first child born to Hamilton Hains Sr. and Harriett Govane Ridout Ligon Hains in 1932. He served in the Navy for four years and is a Korean War veteran. He had a love of history, reading, genealogy, computers, and technology. He is a direct descendant of the 30th Governor of Maryland, Thomas Watkins Ligon.
