Milt was born May 6, 1933, in Elloree, the son of the late William and Mary Frances Jones and was adopted into the family of the late John Hamilton 'Bub' and Rosa Y. Felder. Read More	Elloree - Hamilton Jones 'Milt' Felder, of 275 Barkley St., passed away at home surrounded by his two daughters on Feb. 8, 2018, at 2:11 p.m., following a brief illness. Milt was born May 6, 1933, in Elloree, the son of the late William and Mary Frances Jones and was adopted into the family of the late John Hamilton 'Bub' and Rosa Y. Felder. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Ruth Bochette. He graduated from Elloree High School in 1951, joined and received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, the Army National Guard and the Air Force National Guard. He retired from the South Carolina Air National Guard in 1993. Milt was retired from Versh Lock Mfg. Co. in Columbia as a toolmaker. He was one of the original members of the Moonlighters dance band formed in 1955, followed by Talk of the Town jazz band and Palmetto Jazz, a group that plays at convalescent homes. He was a member of the Elloree United Methodist Church where he served as chairman of the Communication Committee. He was a charter member of the Elloree Heritage Museum and was elected Councilman for the Town of Elloree in in 2011, where he served until Jan. 1, 2018. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Holley (Tom) Geiger of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina and Sharon Rose Felder of Redding, California; and grandson, James Kenneth Geiger. His daughters will miss their Dad's sense of humor, his thoughtfulness and especially his sweet and constant humming. He was a wonderful musician and always had a song whether there was a trumpet in his hand or not. We love and miss you, Dad. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the home, followed by a memorial service at the Elloree United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Feb. 16.
