OTTUMWA PAPER APRIL 10, 1912: The remains of the late Hannah Agnes Dimmitt, were laid to rest in the family plot at the Ottumwa Cemetery Ottumwa, Iowa Saturday afternoon April 06 at 3:00 o'clock. A short service was held at the residence 301 Graves Street. Rev S.I Elder preached the burial service. Hannah Agnes Dimmitt was the daughter to William & Winifred Buck McClintic. She was born in McCarty Township, Jackson County, Ohio in 1839. She had resided in Wapello County, Iowa since 1846. At the early age of fourteen she united with the Christian Church of Bladensburg, Iowa. The inpressions which were made upon her early life by the faith that is in Christ never left her, and in the hours of trial, the grace of our Lord Jesus found still and open channel into her heart in life, and the rich comforts and consolation of the gospel gave her the heritage of the Lord. In 1853 she was married to Cyrene Eugene Dimmitt with whom she lived a happy life until his death November 03,1808. Mrs. Dimmitt died rich in heritage of the Lord leaving behind to mourn her departure eleven children, six sons and five daughters. They are Oscar, Vernon, Frank, Olive, Charels, Harry, all of Ottumwa, Iowa; Mrs. Grace Closson, Coffeyville, Kansas; Mrs. Ellen Phillips, Petersburg, Nebraska; Mrs. Mahala White, Wichita, Kansas; Mrs. Rosa McCormack & Mrs. Susan Carr of Ottumwa, Iowa, also an only sister Mrs. Mary Kerby of Oregon and one brother Lafayette McClintic, Glenwood, Iowa, besides a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
