Wenzinger Word was received by the family here Tuesday that Mrs. Joseph Wenzinger had died at 11 o'clock that day at the Mary Lanning hospital (sic), in Hastings, where she has been under hospital care the past month or more. Funeral services are being held this Thursday morning at Sacred Heart Church, and burial will be made in the parish cemetery. Obituary notice next week. ==================== The Lawrence Locomotive (Lawrence, NE), Friday, July 5, 1918; pg. 1 Obituary Anna Johann was born in Prussia on December 27, 1857. She came to America with her parents when she was 16 years of age. She was united in marriage to Jos. Wenzinger of Webster County, Nebr. by Father Stutz of St. Stephens. On April 21 she look seriously ill with pneumonia. She was cared for at home until the 29th of May when he was taken to the Mary Lanning Hospital. All aid was given her that human hands could offer but it was of no avail. Death came and took her precious life away on June 25, 1918 She leaves to mourn husband, seven children, 20 grandchildren, two sisters and one brother. One son, William, preceded his mother to the heavenly home on Feb. 14, 1899 (sic). The children are: John M., Lawrence: Mrs. Frank Britton, Guide Rock; Mrs. Jos. Gilsdorf, Guide Rock; Mrs. Jos. Hartman, Spring Ranch; Joseph H., Guide Rock; Lawrence T., Blue Hill; Mark who resides with his father. Her age at the time of her death was 61 years, 5 mo. and 28 days. She was a kind and loving mother.
