Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Peter Swanson, who passed away at her home in Loretto last week, were held last Thursday afternoon at the Loretto Methodist church, conducted by Rev. Victor West of Albion. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery at Albion. Hannah Bengston, was born near Glumslof, Sweden, March 22, 1856, and departed this life at 12:25 Tuesday noon, February 11, 1936, at her home in Loretto at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 19 days. In 1880 she left her home land and sailed for America, arriving at Nebraska City, Nebr. Here she found employment and here she met and married Peter Swanson, March 15, 1883. In the spring of 1908 they came to Loretto. Three years ago they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. To this union were born six children, four sons and two daughters. Two died in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. Anna Henriksen, of Omaha, passed away July 10, 1933. In her early life she heard the Master’s call; was baptized in the faith and remained a loyal and faithful Christian to the end. She was a kind, loving wife and mother and a splendid neighbor. Very unselfish in her motives, always thinking of others first. To know her was to love her. Her smile brought cheer and comfort to all those with whom she came in contact. She leaves to mourn her passing; her husband, three sons, Arthur and Dewey of Lincoln, Nebraska and Carl of Loretto; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; also two sisters, Mrs. Carl Anderson of Nebraska City and Mrs. Emma Frisk of Shenandoah, Iowa, and a host of friends.
