Description	:	Mrs. George Miller died at the family home in D precinct Monday, aged 62 years, one month and 23 days. Her maiden name was Hannah C. Deerbower, and she was born in Defiance county, Ohio, where she was married to Mr. Miller October 2, 1866. In 1871 the family came to Nebraska, settling in D precinct, this county, and have made their home on the same farm ever since, which has developed into one of the most pleasant farm homes in the county. Her maiden name was Hannah C. Deerbower, and she was born in Defiance county, Ohio, where she was married to Mr. Miller October 2, 1866. In 1871 the family came to Nebraska, settling in D precinct, this county, and have made their home on the same farm ever since, which has developed into one of the most pleasant farm homes in the county. Thirty-six years is a long time to remain in one place, and many and varied have been the changes since the family first came to Seward county. Then it was almost a barren wilderness, while today it is one of the most prosperous counties in the state. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Miller, seven of whom, with the father, survive. All live in the county and are as follows: C. S. Miller, A. F. Miller, Mrs. Ida Reichardt, Mrs. Rosa Pool, Harvey C. Miller, Frank H. Miller and Mrs. Anna Ludeman. In addition to these one girl was taken into the home from an orphan's home, and had always been treated as one of the family. There are also 14 grandchildren living. Funeral services were conducted at 11 o'clock Wednesday from the home, Rev. C. B. Lensest, pastor of the Methodist church at Ulysses, having charge. Members of the Grand Army post at Ulysses, of which Mr. Miller is a member, acted as pall bearers, and the services at the grave were conducted by the Woman's Relief Corps, of which the deceased was a member. Seward Independent Democrat, Seward, NE, Thur, Feb 14, 1907 George Miller, father-in-law of John Pool, has been and is yet a very sick man, trouble, inflammation of the bowels.
