Description	:	Hannah Chapman was the daughter of Isaac Chapman and Sarah Wooster. She was the 2nd wife of James Kennedy. James and Hannah were married on 9 Jan 1848 in Chenango County, New York. James and his 1st wife, Lucy Rathburn, were married in 1828 and had six children. Two children died at a young age: Sarah in 1832 at age 3 years and Nancy in 1837 at age 5 years. Read More	Hannah Chapman was the daughter of Isaac Chapman and Sarah Wooster. She was the 2nd wife of James Kennedy. James and Hannah were married on 9 Jan 1848 in Chenango County, New York. James and his 1st wife, Lucy Rathburn, were married in 1828 and had six children. Two children died at a young age: Sarah in 1832 at age 3 years and Nancy in 1837 at age 5 years. Lucy died in Jul 1847 in New York. When Hannah and James married in 1848, Hannah became the mother of James R age 14, Andrew age 12, Alvina age 8 and John age 5. Hannah and James had one child together, Sarah Jane Kennedy, born 1849 in New York. The family lived in New York until 1854 when they moved to Benton County, Iowa. During their time in Benton County, Elvira married David Patterson in 1857. John died in 1861 at the age of 17 years. Andrew (7683270) enlisted in Co G 13th Iowa Infantry and James (16787449) enlisted in Co D 28th Iowa Infantry. After James was discharged, he married Amanda Royce in 1860 in Tama County, Iowa. In 1864, James, Hannah, Andrew and Sarah moved to Sarpy County, Nebraska. James and Amanda also moved to Nebraska. James was a farmer, and farmed land south of Papillion, Nebraska. He died in 1872 at the age of 70 years. Hannah lived with daughter Sarah (27114588), who married Royce Glover, after the death of James. Hannah's year of death is not known. She was living with Sarah and Royce in the 1885 Census and was not found in the 1900 Census, so she died between 1885 and 1900. She is buried next to her husband at Fairview Cemetery.
