Description	:	Hannah Elizabeth Hempleman Thrash was the eldest of ten children. She was born in West Union, Adams County, Ohio, on 07 May 1843, and came to Fairfield County, Bloom Township, Ohio, with her parents, and although she did not have the opportunity to attend much school; she was a most beautiful reader. She was a grand and patient wife, a kind and loving mother, and to know and meet her was always a pleasure; for she always carried one of those sweet smiles on her face, which seemed to enter one's soul. She was born in West Union, Adams County, Ohio, on 07 May 1843, and came to Fairfield County, Bloom Township, Ohio, with her parents, and although she did not have the opportunity to attend much school; she was a most beautiful reader. She was a grand and patient wife, a kind and loving mother, and to know and meet her was always a pleasure; for she always carried one of those sweet smiles on her face, which seemed to enter one's soul. Kind to everyone, and no task ever seemed to be too hard for her. She was a good and true United Brethren; and her greatest aim was to see her children be manly men and womanly women, and we believe that her greatest desire was fulfilled. Every person was made welcome that entered her home, and many were the bountiful repast that were served by her to friends.
