Description	:	Hannah Ethel Philson, daughter of Marcus W. Witter and Josephine (Bivens) Witter, was born June 8, 1896, at Exeter. She died October 31, 1983, at Lincoln General Hospital, Lincoln, at the age of 87 years. Hannah was married to Raymond G. Philson, of McCool Junction on May 23, 1918, at Hastings, and three children were born to this union. Hannah lived most of her life in the Exeter and Fairmont area. Witter and Josephine (Bivens) Witter, was born June 8, 1896, at Exeter. She died October 31, 1983, at Lincoln General Hospital, Lincoln, at the age of 87 years. Hannah was married to Raymond G. Philson, of McCool Junction on May 23, 1918, at Hastings, and three children were born to this union. Hannah lived most of her life in the Exeter and Fairmont area. She did live for a brief period near Ft. Riley, Ks., while her husband was stationed there in 1918 and 1919. She also lived for 28 years from 1930-1958, in Custer County and in the Ansley, Litchfield and Mason City area. As a young girl, she attended Sunday school and church at the country schoolhouse. She was baptized at the Christian church at Exeter, transferring her membership whenever she moved to a new place. She was a member of the Fairmont Community Church and a faithful attender of both Sunday school and church worship. She enjoyed her church groups and was always a willing worker. Likewise, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Fairmont and Mason City. Hannah was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; parents; one brother, Eddie and four sisters, Fern, Rose, Elta and Bertha. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Wilma) Plock of Fairmont; two sons, Dale and wife Phyllis of Milford and Rex and wife Barbara of Caldwell, Id.; one brother, Ted Witter and wife, Clara of Crete; one sister, Mary Halverson of North Platte; two brothers-in-law, Ernest and wife Frances of York and Gailard and wife, Jessie of Fairmont; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Memorial services were conducted on November 5 at the Fairmont Community Church with the Rev. Bill Moore officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons, Bill, Glen and Larry Plock, Michael Philson, Jeff Chrisman, Gerald Switzer, Robert Schubert, and David Moler. Vocalists, Roland and Anna Hall were accompanied by organist, Delores Swartz. Burial was at Fairmont Cemetery.
