Description	:	Hannah Laura Willms, 85, longtime resident of Wenatchee, passed away Friday, November 18, 2005, in Central Washington Hospital. She was born August 25, 1920, to George Ira and Ida (Kerr) Shaw, at Paradise Hill, Washington. She was raised and educated in the Methow Valley. Following her schooling she married Albert L. Read More	Hannah Laura Willms, 85, longtime resident of Wenatchee, passed away Friday, November 18, 2005, in Central Washington Hospital. She was born August 25, 1920, to George Ira and Ida (Kerr) Shaw, at Paradise Hill, Washington. She was raised and educated in the Methow Valley. Following her schooling she married Albert L. Willms on May 27, 1939, at his parent's home in Waterville. They made their residence in Twisp for many years. For two years during World War II they lived in Portland until returning to Twisp. She worked for Thompson's and Milner's packing sheds in Twisp and later worked as a clerk at Twisp Mercantile. In 1959, they moved to East Wenatchee where they lived until moving to Wenatchee in 1964, where they have since lived. Hannah worked as a clerk for Sears and worked for Cedergreen's and eventually Valley Evaporating. She loved to grow flowers in her garden, oil painting and was an excellent seamstress; making many of the clothes her children would wear. She was a very good cook and did a lot of canning of fruits, vegetables and jams. She also loved to fish and golf with Albert. Mrs. Willms was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a fifty-plus year member of the Twisp Valley Grange. Survivors include her husband, Albert of the home; one son, Arnold and his wife DonnaJo Willms of East Wenatchee; two daughters, Arlene Psomas of Lynnwood, WA; Nada and her husband Dan Wentz of Omak; two sisters, Minnie Campbell of Omak and Esther Johnson of Twisp; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ellen Demmitt; and two sons-in-law, Duane Thomas and Siggy Psomas. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Hein officiating. Viewing will be held Monday from noon to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 12721-30th Avenue NE, Suite 101, Seattle, WA, 98125 or St. Paul's Lutheran Church School. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
