Description	:	Minnie graduated from high school in Twisp and then attended one year of college in Cheney. She married a local cowboy, Elmer Campbell, on Jan. 2, 1940. They made their home south of Carlton at Gold Creek, where she and Elmer raised cattle and horses. Minnie worked spring and summer months on the ranch, and fall and winter months at the Methow Pateros Growers packing shed, retiring in the mid-1980s. Family and friends were Minnie's love and joy. Minnie worked spring and summer months on the ranch, and fall and winter months at the Methow Pateros Growers packing shed, retiring in the mid-1980s. Family and friends were Minnie's love and joy. She spent many happy holidays hosting her children and grandchildren. She loved to garden and was famous for her experimental iris breeds, many of which can still be found throughout the Methow Valley. She enjoyed winter snowmobile trips and summer hikes on the hillsides looking at the wildflowers. Minnie was a long-time member of the Calvary Baptist Church and hosted Bible study gatherings in her home. She spent years as a Sunday schoolteacher and as a friend to all. Minnie was a member and Past Master of Twisp Valley Grange. Minnie is survived by her sister, Esther Shaw Johnson, and two sons, Earl (Pat) Campbell of Bellingham and Ray Campbell of Gold Creek. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Ida Shaw, husband, Elmer Campbell, son Ira Campbell, and two sisters, Hannah Willms and Ellen Demmit. Services will be held Saturday (March 1) at 1 :30 p.m. at Cascade Bible Church in Twisp. A graveside service will be held directly after, with a potluck to follow at the church. Services will be performed by Dick Webb and Pastor Harlan Humiston. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her at Harmony House over the past few years of her life. Arrangements were provided by Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel.
