Description	:	Death at 4 o'clock this morning, claimed a pioneer of Taylor township, in the person of Miss Hannah Lewis, a sister of the late Dr Enoch Lewis, and for fifty years a resident of this county. Miss Lewis' death was due to cancer, and followed an illness dating from a year ago last September. Miss Lewis was born in Knox county, Ohio, September 9, 1834, a daughter of Jehu and Hannah Foulke Lewis. Miss Lewis' death was due to cancer, and followed an illness dating from a year ago last September. Miss Lewis was born in Knox county, Ohio, September 9, 1834, a daughter of Jehu and Hannah Foulke Lewis. With her mothers, brothers and sisters, Miss Lewis came to this county a half century ago and settled in Taylor township. Forty two years ago Miss Lewis went to Albion where she had ever since lived in the same home where she died. Miss Lewis was the last of her father's family. There is a foster brother, however, Fleming B Lewis, of Butler, O. who is still living. A foster daughter, whom Miss Lewis had reared from childhood, is now Mrs Milo Pierce, Chicago. George and Carl Lewis, of Taylor township, are nephews of Miss Lewis. A birthright member of the Friends church, Miss Lewis has always retained her membership with that religious faith. Funeral services will be conducted from the Friends church at Albion at 10:30 Monday morning, burial following in the Albion cemetery. Saturday, February 12, 1916 Evening Times Republican
