She was 71 years of age. Mrs. Jackson had been in poor health for some time. She entered the local hospital on February 1 and was transferred to the hospital in Denver on February 16. Jackson, who lived in and near Holyoke for about 60 years, passed away Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver. She was 71 years of age. Mrs. Jackson had been in poor health for some time. She entered the local hospital on February 1 and was transferred to the hospital in Denver on February 16. She underwent surgery on February 23. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 1, at the Holyoke Methodist church. Rev. H. Ward Barter was the officiating minister, and arrangements were in charge of the Lewis Funeral Home. Interment was at Holyoke Memorial Park. A daughter of William and Anna Evers Jasper, Mrs. Jackson was born November 24, 1893, at Plainview, Nebraska. She moved to this community with her parents when 12 years of age. The Jaspers established their home on a farm five miles southwest of Holyoke, the present Clifton Cooper place, and there Mrs. Jackson grew to womanhood. In January 1919, she was united in marriage to Alph Jackson. To this union four children were born, all of whom survive. During the first year of their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Jackson lived in Sterling, then returned to the Jasper farm near Holyoke. Later they purchased the farm and continued to make their home there until retiring and moving to Holyoke in 1948. Mr. Jackson passed away on October 29, 1955. Mrs. Jackson was a faithful member of the Holyoke Methodist church. Survivors include two sons, Bryce Jackson, Denver, and Arlen Jackson, Newcastle, Colorado; two daughters, Aufelda, Mrs. Lloyd Larson, El Cerrito, California and Sibyl, Mrs. Chester Krueger, Holyoke; one sister, Mrs. Henry Kaiser, Oakland, California, whose health did not permit her to be here for the funeral; eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
