Description	:	Boone County Democrat May 21, 1909 At 6:00 o’clock Friday morning, May 14th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.H. Williams, twelve miles southwest of Boone, occurred the death of Mrs. Henry (sic) Cartwright. She has been ill for about one week with a complication of diseases and for three days before her death she had been unconscious. She was a well known pioneer resident of that part of the county and highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends, who extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved family in their sorrow. Williams, twelve miles southwest of Boone, occurred the death of Mrs. Henry (sic) Cartwright. She has been ill for about one week with a complication of diseases and for three days before her death she had been unconscious. She was a well known pioneer resident of that part of the county and highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends, who extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved family in their sorrow. She was the mother of W.A. Cartwright a well known resident of Boone. She has visited here a number of times and has many friends who will regret to learn of her death. The funeral services were held from the North Union Baptist church in Marcy township, at 11:00 o’clock Sunday morning, attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends, and the remains tenderly laid to rest in the Sparks cemetery. Hannah Miller was born in Ohio, Sep 15, 1836 and was in her seventy fifth year at the time of her death. She was married to Mr. Cartwright there in 1855 and came to Boone county in 1872 and has resided here since. To them were born five sons and six daughters, four of whom survive to mourn her death. W.A. Cartwright of Boone, Mrs. C.H. Williams of Woodward, Mrs. John Sparks and Mrs. J.H. Williams of Marcy township. She is also survived by one brother, James Miller in Marcy township, an old resident of the county. Her husband died in 1880.
