Read More	The long and patient suffering of Frank Cartwright ended in a happy death at his home 18th and Harrison streets at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. He had suffered with a complication of troubles for several years and for some weeks past it was known by his family and friends that the end was near and all were prepared for the final summons. The funeral services were held from the Baptist church of which he had been a faithful member for many years, at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, in charge of the Odd Fellows lodge, No. 495, of which he was an esteemed member, and attended by a large concourse of sorrowing and sympathizing relatives and friends. Services were conducted by Rev. C.E. Tingley and the remains laid tenderly to rest in East Linwood cemetery. The floral tributes were many and beautiful, attesting the general esteem of all who knew him. Music was furnished by Mesdames McPherson and White, Misses Phillips and Beckett and Messrs John Dyer and Clarence Kelley. They sang "Nearer My God to Thee", "Looking this Way" and "Some Time We'll Understand." The pall bearers were Levi Staley, Roy Sargent, Charles Sargent, Ross Nolan, William Bunnell and J.H. Mallo, all members of the Odd Fellows lodge. Daniel Franklin Cartwright was born in Ohio, Feb. 13, 1866 and was in his forty second year at the time of his death. He came with his parents to Boone county in 1874 and has resided here almost continuously since. In 1889 he was united in marriage with Miss Ella Davis, who with four children, Pearl, Ray, Eddie and Thirza, survive to mourn the death of a loving husband and father. One daughter, Madge, died about a year ago. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Hannah Cartwright, one brother, W.A. Cartwright and three sisters, Mrs. Sophronia Sparks and Mrs. Elizabeth Williams of Marcy township and Mrs. Della Williams of Cass township. The family and relatives have the earnest sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their bereavement. Boone County Democrat September 20, 1907
