Will Book I, Page 49 Clarke County State of Iowa Know all men by these presents: That I, Hannah P. Henderson, of Ward Township, Clarke County, Iowa, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament. First, I give and devise to my son Joseph A. Henderson of Clarke County and State of Iowa, all of the W 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 20, in Ward Township, Clarke County and State of Iowa, to have and to hold the same to himself and his heirs and assigns forever. Second, I give and devise to my son Philander H. Henderson all of the E 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 29 in Washington, Clarke County and State of Iowa, to have and to hold the same to himself and his heirs and assigns forever. Third, I give and devise to my daughter Margaret J. Henderson all of Lot ten Block 4, in the Town of Murray, Clarke County, Iowa, to have and to hold the same to herself and her heirs and assigns forever. Fourth, I give and devise to my son Philander H. Henderson one cow, him to have his choice out of my six cows to have and to hold to himself and his heirs and assigns forever. Fifth, I give and devise to my four children, viz: James G., Joseph A., and Margaret J. and Philander H. Henderson all of the proceeds of my personal property after all legal obligations are paid against the estate, if any left to be divided equally between them to have and to hold the same to themselves and their heirs and assigns forever. Sixth, I give and devise to my grand-daughter, Permitia M. Henderson, $5.00 to be paid out of my personal property to have and to hold the same to herself and her heirs and assigns forever. Seventh, I appoint my son Joseph A. Henderson sole executor of this will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 26th day of November A.D. 1860 Signed in the presence of Newton Scott, Samuel H. Robb State of Iowa, Clarke County ss. I, A.H. Burrows, Clerk of Circuit Court in and for said County do hereby certify that on the 7th day of June A.D. 1871, at the June Term A.D. 1871, of said Court the Will and Testament in writing hereto annexed and bearing the date of the 26th of November A.D. 1870, was duly proved before and allowed by said Court as and for the last Will and Testament of the real and personal property of Hannah P. Henderson late of said county deceased, and was by said Court ordered to be recorded as such Will and Testament.
