Description	:	Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 in Grace Baptist Church, Minot, for Hans M. Sandie, 76, of Minot, who died in a hospital there on Thursday, Oct. 8. Rev. W. Ronald Dalzell officiated and burial was in Lakeview cemetery, Kenmare. Pallbearers were Marvin Hervey, Gilmer Melland, Peter Essler, Dan Hornbacher, Gordon Semrau and Melvin Hanson. Mr. Sandie was born in Norway Sept. 10, 1894, to Mr. and Mrs. Ole N. Sandie. In 1911 he moved to the United States and on July 31, 1918, married Winifred Ostrand in Kenmare. He helped organize the Farmers Union Oil Co., at Kenmare and managed the firm until moving to Minot in 1942. In 1947 they moved to Moorhead, Minn,, where Mr. Sandie was with the Farmers Union Oil Co., until retiring in 1960 and returning to Minot. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Donald H., Portsmouth, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ione) Turner, Minot, and Mrs. Clarence (Grace) Potter, Ray; eight grandchildren, and two sisters and a brother in Norway.
