Description	:	Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home, Minot, for Mrs. Winifred Sandie, age 84, who died on Sunday, Dec. 19th. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare. Winifred Florence Ostrand was born April 10, 1898, at Spicer, Minn., and in 1900 she moved with her family to a farm near Kenmare, where she was reared. She married Hans M. Sandie July 31, 1918, at Kenmare, and they farmed southwest of there until 1934. They later moved to Kenmare, where Mr. Sandie managed the Farmers Union Oil Co. In... Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare. Winifred Florence Ostrand was born April 10, 1898, at Spicer, Minn., and in 1900 she moved with her family to a farm near Kenmare, where she was reared. She married Hans M. Sandie July 31, 1918, at Kenmare, and they farmed southwest of there until 1934. They later moved to Kenmare, where Mr. Sandie managed the Farmers Union Oil Co. In 1942 they moved to Minot, and in 1947 they moved to Moorhead, Mn. Following Mr. Sandie's retirement in 1960, the couple returned to Minot. For the last few years, Mrs. Sandie had lived at the home. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Surviving: Daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ione) Turner, Minot, and Mrs. Clarence (Grace) Potter, Ray; a son, Donald Portsmouth, Va.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons, and sisters, Mrs. Lydia Leppert, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Edna Baker, Seattle.
