Yost (sic) passed away at the Jefferson County hospital yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. Peritonitis which developed following an operation performed Sunday for appendicitis, was the cause of his death. Mr. Yost was forty-four years old. He was born near Libertyville and has lived there all of his life, taking an active part in the town's activities. He leaves a widow, one son, Lester and a baby daughter, Loretta. He also leaves a brother, Ward Yost, and five sisters. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock in the Methodist church in charge of Rev. E. W. Stodghill of Burlington. Burial will be in the Fell cemetery. ------------------ Note: A much fuller, detailed, obituary was published in the Fairfle Weekly Ledger-Journal on June 2, 1921. Unfortunatly, the paper copy was evidently torn and so several chunks of text are missing from the available microfilm image (microfilm reels at the Fairfield Public Library). This account did list the full given name as Harlan Hayes Yost, with "Harley" used as a nickname.
