On Oct. 9, 1971, Harley married Glenda (Andreasen) in the Augustana Lutheran Church in Genoa. Harley was a truck driver for Behlen Manufacturing from 1969-1991 and after he retired from there, drove for several different companies. In November of 1979, Harley was named the Nebraska Driver of the Month and he was a lifetime member of the Million Mile Club for truckers. Harley is survived by his wife, Glenda, of Genoa; children, Pam (Tom) Ramaekers, of Genoa, Harley Hiemer, Jr., of Papillion, Peggy (Richard) Russell, of Papillion, and Penny Hiemer, of Omaha; stepchildren, Cathy (Norm) Hoadley, Sr., of Columbus, Leanne (Al) Biesecker, of Fremont, Garald (Deb) Wollesen, of Omaha, and Keith Wollesen, of Genoa; sisters, Maxine Wollberg, of Union City, Calif., Betty Ammons, of Irvine, Calif., and Bob Hiemer, of Littleton, Colo. In addition, Harley is survived by nine grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include sisters– in-law, Dolores Patrick, Arline Raitt, Viola Andreasen and Mary (Dick) Peterson; special friends, Dale & Roberta Lovell; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Haley was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Max Hiemer.
