Harmina Brass was married to Ernest Blumeyer, Feb 5, 1898, at Rockvale, Ill. they spent their earlier life in Illinois and Iowas, and in 1917 came to Brookings county where she lived until her death, March 12, at the Brookings Municipal Hospital. She was 70 years, 9 months and 29 days. She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Mamie Soden. She leaves to mourn the following children: Hilda (Mrs. Harold Stewart), Nellie (Mrs. Fred Glatzel), Amos Blumeyer, Arlene (Mrs. Joy Loban), Shirley (Mrs. Otto Rust), Wilfred Blumeyer, Mildred (Mrs. Herbert Halvorson) and a granddaughter, Mrs. Howard Thompson whom she raised from infancy. Besides this grandchild she is survived by 19 other grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and two brothers and one sister who lives in Oregon, Ill., and numerous relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Zion Lutheran church in Bruce with Rev. Roy Reede, officiating. Music and singing were by Mrs. Herschel Nelson, Mrs. Donald Peterson, and Mrs. Dwayne Krogh. Pallbearers were James Montgomery, Henry Rust, Fred Tanke, G.H.Haroldson, Oscar Tollefson and Oscar Frystrom. Burial was at Greenwood cemetery, Brookings.
