Delimont will be on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Murray Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Stamford Cemetery, in Stamford, Nebraska. Harold Arthur Delimont, 91 years of age, of Holdrege, formerly of Stamford, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Holdrege Memorial Homes. Harold was born March 2, 1925, south of Stamford in Harlan County, Nebraska, the third of five children born to Julius and Hilma Margaret (Anderson) Delimont. He received his primary education from the Liberty School District #67 in rural Phillips County, Kansas and then attended Stamford Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1942. Following his education, he started a lifelong passion of farming. Harold retired from farming in 1997 and moved to Holdrege. He began to make his home at Holdrege Memorial Homes in 2013. He attended the Evangelical Free Church in Stamford and then began attending the Trinity Evangelical Free Church after moving to Holdrege. Harold enjoyed going for walks and reading. Harold is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pauline McCutchen and her husband, Carl; brothers, Wallace Delimont and his wife, Grace and Ralph Delimont; and a brother-in-law, LaMont Johnson. He leaves to celebrate his life; his sister, Phyllis Johnson of Minden, Nebraska; nephews: Dale Hunt and his wife, Edna of Minden and Brian Johnson and his wife, Kris of Camdenton, Missouri; sister-in-law, Beatrice Delimont of Thousand Oaks, California; along with several great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege. A memorial has been established in Harold’s honor and will be designated at a later date. Expressions of caring and kindness can be sent to the family at www.nelsonbauerfh.com. The Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege is in charge of the arrangements.
