Read More	Harold Cecil Tyler was born February 24, 1898 at Creighton, Nebraska and passed away at his home at Alhambra, California on May 3, 1932 at the age of 34 years, 2 months and 9 days. He was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris P. Tyler and resided with them until 1920 when he was united in marriage on December 11 to Miss Nina M. Clark at Creighton. Rev. J. A. Hutchins, Methodist minister, officiating. They were both members of the Epworth League here. For two years they made their home in this vicinity on farms, going to Alhambra, California, where they resided until his untimely death. During his residence in California he was engaged in running an oil station for seven years. He took an active part in the social and civic affairs of his community and was a regular attendant of Alhambra Lodge No. 1328 B. P.O.E. and Alhambra Lodge No. 217 I.O.O.F. His greatest delight was in the performing of acts of thoughtfulness and cheer for others and the last act of his life before the fatal accident was to take a bouquet of flowers to an aged couple to cheer their home. He had the confidence of the young men of his vicinity and he was always surrounded by a group of them and they constantly sought his counsel in their problems and they always received wholesome advice from him. "Ted", as he was known by all, living an unselfish life and made a host of friends wherever he went. He caught the true message of Oddfellowship and lived out its teachings. He had the right message of life, that of doing good to others, and he found his own happiness in friendship that was real, because it brought happiness and help to his neighbors. The many floral tributes and touching letters received by his loved ones at his sudden departure bear testimony of the high regard in which he was held for his humble efforts to be a true man and brother. The world needs men like "Ted" and his untimely death is regretted by all. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Morris P. Tyler of Creighton; five brothers, Frank, Harry, Merle and Abbott of Creighton and Lloyd of Alhambra, California, one nephew and six nieces and a host of true friends in Alhambra, California and Creighton. Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at Alhambra, California with the Elks in charge. The body was brought to Creighton Tuesday afternoon and taken to the home of his parents from where services were held at one o'clock Wednesday and at the Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev William E. Wilson in charge. Burial was made in Greenwood cemetery with the Creighton Lodge No. 110 I.O.O.F. in charge.
