Description	:	Harold Dean "Hossman" Ellis, 67, of 1113 Spring St., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at his residence. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Ralph Lymon Ellis and Ruby Griggs Ellis. Mr. Ellis was a graduate of Gaffney High School and retired from Michelin. He was an avid North Carolina Tar Heel and Gaffney Indian fan, was a former member of the first-down chain crew for the Blacksburg High School football team, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Read More	Harold Dean "Hossman" Ellis, 67, of 1113 Spring St., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at his residence. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Ralph Lymon Ellis and Ruby Griggs Ellis. Mr. Ellis was a graduate of Gaffney High School and retired from Michelin. He was an avid North Carolina Tar Heel and Gaffney Indian fan, was a former member of the first-down chain crew for the Blacksburg High School football team, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Matthew Ellis and fiancé, Leigh Ramsey, of Gaffney; two daughters, Marci Ellis of Gaffney, and Misty Ellis of Shelby, N.C.; three brothers, Robert Lee Ellis, James Edward Ellis and wife, Donna, and Richard Daniel Ellis and wife, Darlene, all of Gaffney; and two grandchildren, Jada Vanlue and Leah Duncan Ellis. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dede Ellis. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Northside Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Joel Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Hospice Compassus, 212 E. Floyd Baker Blvd., Gaffney, S.C. 29340. The family will be at the residence, 1113 Spring St., Gaffney.
