Description	:	Harold Henry Pohlmeier, son of Gregory Pohlmeier and Elvira Bolte, was born on a farm near Lawrence, Nebraska on November 24, 1944. He was raised in the Lawrence community, graduating from the St. Stephens Grade and Lawrence High School. In June of 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was married to Linda Kay Lemke on September 30, 1967, at St. Stephens Church near Lawrence. To this union two children were born. Read More	Harold Henry Pohlmeier, son of Gregory Pohlmeier and Elvira Bolte, was born on a farm near Lawrence, Nebraska on November 24, 1944. He was raised in the Lawrence community, graduating from the St. Stephens Grade and Lawrence High School. In June of 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was married to Linda Kay Lemke on September 30, 1967, at St. Stephens Church near Lawrence. To this union two children were born. In June of 1967, he was discharged from active duty and on June 22, 1971, Harold was honorably discharged from the army at the rank of Specialist 5. Harold was also a graduate of the Milford Trade School. After graduating from Milford, he was employed by the Holdrege Electric Co. of Holdrege. Harold and his family moved to Superior where he owned and operated the Pohlmeier Electric Shop. Harold was a member of the Superior Jaycees serving on the Board of Directors. At the time of his death, he was serving on the St. Joseph Church Council. He was also a member of the Superior Chamber of Commerce, the American Legion Post No. 45 of Lawrence, the V.F.W., and the Knights of Columbus. Harold leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Linda, two children, Jeffery Harold, age 3 and Shonda Kay, age 2. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Pohlmeier and his grandmother, Mrs. Barbara Bolte, all of Lawrence; 4 brothers and 2 sisters, Danny and Lyle of Lawrence, Allen of Beatrice, Loren of Wallace and Jane and Ann of Lincoln; other relatives and many true friends. Harold Pohlmeier was accidentally killed on June 19, 1972, at his place of business at the age of 27 years, 5 months and 26 days. Rosary services were held on Wednesday evening, June 21, at 8 p.m. from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior. Funeral services were conducted from the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Superior on Thursday, June 22, at 10 o'clock a.m. with Father Edward Jaworowski officiating. Burial was in the St. Stephens Cemetery in Lawrence. The Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Marvin Smidt, Don Gunn, Steve Atkins, Dick Winebar, Ron Schremmer, Clarence Wattier, Bob Oldham and Mick White. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, June 29, 1972; pg. 3
