Description	:	Harold 'Robbie' Robbins passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the young age of 89. An Aerospace Engineer and later trucker by trade, he loved gardening or working on a John Deere with his dear friend Wally. He enjoyed a good laugh, usually at someone else's expense, and an adult beverage at the local bar. He is survived by five siblings: Rose, Louise, Eddie, Ernie and Thelma (all in Indiana), daughters Terri and Staci, stepsons Jim and Kim Paris, as well as many grandchildren and extended family. He was born in Connersville on Sept. 27, 1925, the son of John and Cora (Hill) Robbins. He was a 1945 graduate of New Salem High School, a WW II Navy veteran and a graduate of Purdue University. He was a test engineer for jet engines in Indianapolis and California and Tennessee before retiring in Florida. He is survived by his first wife Billie, the mother of his daughters; two daughters, Terrie of Texas and Staci of Oregon; four grandchildren; two brothers, Ernie of Greensburg and John Ed of Ft. Wayne; and three sisters, Louise Gordon of Ft. Wayne, Rose Voris of Shelbyville, and Thelma Robbins of Rushville. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Pauline, on Dec. 18, 2014, and a sister, June Jenks. Local Memorial arrangements are pending at the convenience of the family.
